Tracie LynchTracie Lynch, HBCE, Cht, CD, SM, CBE, PES

Tracie began her journey into pregnancy, birth, motherhood and family life many years ago. Over the years her fascination with family and birth has only grown and expanded.

She is the happy mother to four children and her own varied birth experiences as well as her over ten years of experience in supporting birthing families, allow her to offer a varied understanding of how birthing parents are feeling and what they might want in many different situations.

Tracie’s journey working with expectant families began after the birth of her oldest son at home. The amazing circle of women who supported and guided her family through their third birth journey was an amazing and transformative experience.  She knew right after her son’s water birth that she had found her path, sharing that support with other families. Tracie completed her Birth Doula training with DONA international in 2009 and began attending births soon after.

Her experiences using the HypnoBirthing method for her own children’s births, led her to become a Certified HypnoBirthing Practitioner in 2010 and shortly after, a Certified Hypnotherapist. Since 2010, Tracie has been privileged to teach HypnoBirthing – The Mongan Method to hundreds of Bay Area Families. Prior to beginning her work with birthing families, she was fortunate to work with two amazing Hypnotherapists. Though hypnosis for birth might not be the choice that every mom makes for her birth, Tracie believes that the deep relaxation techniques and grounding and centering philosophies, coupled with the connection fostered between partners, help all families achieve their ideal birth experience. Tracie’s philosophy on teaching families to prepare for their baby’s arrival is to provide many aspects, and techniques, coupled with solid partner support training for each family, ensuring that they can create a plan for their birth as unique and special as each family taking her classes.

To date Tracie has been blessed to attend over 500 births and continues to enjoy working with select couples for doula services each month. Tracie’s philosophy as a Doula is to teach, as well as listen and learn what each family needs in their varied chosen birth locations. She is currently finalizing her schooling for Licensed Midwifery and expects to Graduate in 2021. She will continue to offer classes, Doula Services as well as Homebirth Midwifery after graduation.

Tracie’s work as a Certified Hypnotherapist has allowed her to specialize in working with expectant mothers and families as well as couples walking the path of infertility.  Thought she will continue to offer online support and classes online for the remainder of 2020, her office is conveniently located at the offices of the South Bay Homebirth Collective/Haumea Birth and Family Wellness in the Rose Garden area of San Jose/Santa Clara.
